On September 26-28, the 7th International OTEC Symposium will be held in Busan, Republic of Korea. Busan is a beautiful maritime city, and is the second largest metropolitan city in Korea. Bridging between Asian continent and Pacific Ocean, it has been a hub port for fisheries and other maritime industries in North East Asia.
The symposium is hosted by Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) and Korea Society for Power System Engineering (KSPSE). The symposium aims to share fundamental and advanced knowledge, laboratory and field experiences in the application, and innovation of OTEC plants and their key components. Furthermore, the symposium not only address the technological issue, but also cascade utilization, environment, finance, policy, and regulation. It will provide a platform for scientists and experts working in the field of OTEC technology and ocean energy industry to facilitate the technology and its application on new ocean industry.
