More Palau OTEC news
On Xenesys' web site there is a short news item about the Palau OTEC collaboration agreement with Saga University. Interestingly they say "The plan is said to construct OTEC power plants at 7 different locations in Palau by 2015, generating 30,000 kW in total".

NIOT Annual Report
The Indian National Institute of Ocean Technology has released an "Annual report" for the period 2001-2002. In the report we can find a very interesting account of the NIOT OTEC progress over the last year.

IOA Winter newsletter
The International OTEC Association's Winter 2002 Newsletter is out. The main piece is about George Claude's Cuban OTEC Experiment in the 1930s. There is a very interesting news item about the North Pacific nation of Palau's plans to generate most of its energy using an Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion system. To round off they have an introduction to seaPower Europe, a newly established Trade Association for the marine renewable energy sector in Europe.
