Phil Kopiske

Phil Kopitske is an engineer and systems analyst both by education and experience. After 2 years of training and 4 years of operating the propulsion plant on a U.S. Nuclear Aircraft Carrier, he earned his B.S. in Engineering Physics from Oklahoma University in 1987. Since graduating, he has worked for Boeing Military Airplane, Boeing Aerospace and Electronics, Rockwell Space Operations Company, and a host of consulting companies. His projects have included air combat simulation and analysis, operations research, Space Station software and training materials development, expert systems design, and manufacturing systems software.

He discovered OTEC in 1993 and has collected, in his own words, “a stack of OTEC articles a foot high”, which he has decided to abstract for us at the rate of at least one per week. Like us, he believes that one day, OTEC will fuel our planet’s hydrogen economy, halt global warming, and feed its teeming masses. That day must come quickly, for Earth’s sake and our own.
